Atlanta, GA (July 5, 2019) – A couple was struck while riding when they were suddenly involved in a bicycle accident on Hosea Williams Drive that led to injuries in the woman.
The man and woman were biking to an Atlanta United Game while in the biking lane for Hosea Williams Drive when a black vehicle suddenly swerved into their lane. The woman was thrown from her bike but the man’s bike was only struck slightly.
The man turned around, where he found that the woman was on the ground. He said that he met her on the ground where he found her bleeding from the head, unable to speak. She was allegedly knocked unconscious by the accident.
Paramedics claim that the woman was taken to the emergency room at Grady Hospital where it was said that she sustained a broken collarbone, ribs, and a thumb. She received six staples and a lung contusion.
The driver has not yet been caught after fleeing the scene. The vehicle involved was described as a Hyundai Accent. The investigation into the accident continues.
