Gainesville, GA – Two Seriously Injured in Truck Accident on Browns Bridge Road

Gainesville, GA (July 19, 2019) – On Wednesday afternoon, police arrived at the scene of a truck accident that took place on Browns Bridge Road and led to serious injuries.

The accident took place around 1:00 p.m. when an 18-wheeler driven by a 25-year-old was headed west on Browns Bridge Road. The driver suddenly crossed into the oncoming lane while attempting to avoid traffic in the area.

The truck struck the front passenger’s side of a vehicle headed in the opposite direction driven by a 22-year-old woman from Alpharetta. The impact was so forceful that the cargo in the back of the truck tumbled all over the highway.

The woman and her four passengers were injured. The driver and her one passenger, a 38-year-old woman, were seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.

The truck driver was charged with failing to maintain his lane.

The accident closed down the roadway for two hours. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
