Griffin, GA (July 20, 2019) – Various emergency responders were called to assist an 8-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a pedestrian crash on Camp Ground Road.
According to police, the boy was badly injured after being struck by a vehicle for reasons that are not known, which prompted the Spalding Fire Department, Sheriff’s Department, Regional EMS, and other responders to the scene of the accident.
The child was allegedly left with massive head trauma and broken bones due to the accident.
Because of the injuries present, a decision was made to airlift the child to Atlanta for medical treatment. Police did not update the condition of the child at this time.
The accident remains under investigation.
