Albany, GA (March 10, 2020) – Around 6:45 a.m. yesterday morning, March 9, a serious pedestrian accident with injuries took place at 300 US-19 (West Oglethorpe Boulevard).
The Albany Police Department responded to the scene of the accident. While there, they found that a 2013 Chevrolet Impala was being driven by a 30-year-old man. The vehicle exited the parking lot of a Dunkin Donuts and was headed east.
At the time, a 55-year-old man was attempting to cross the roadway from south to north. The vehicle struck the pedestrian as he crossed.
The pedestrian received serious injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital by EMS.
The accident remains under investigation by police at this time.
