Covington, GA – Car Crash on I-20 Near Almon Rd

Covington, GA (March 11, 2020) – Around 6:30 a.m. this morning, multiple vehicles collided in a car crash that took place in the eastbound lanes of I-20.

Newton County authorities responded to the scene of the accident where they found that numerous vehicles collided on the highway near Almon Road.

The accident took place in the left lane of the highway, leading to extensive delays in the area throughout the Covington area while rush hour took place.

Paramedics assisted numerous victims with their injuries but it is not known how many were injured.

The investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
