Decatur, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Candler Rd

Decatur, GA (March 24, 2020) – Around 11 a.m. this morning, two vehicles forcefully collided in a car accident on a major highway in Decatur.

DeKalb County authorities and other responders were called to the scene of the accident on I-20 near Candler Road where they found a black sedan with severe damages spun around in traffic.

Though police have not yet commented on the circumstances of the accident, it is believed that it took place in two right lanes of traffic.

Fire crews and paramedics were photographed at the scene assisting those with injuries. Numerous victims were being treated by EMS crews.

There were extensive delays for a period of time but police were able to quickly clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
