Jefferson, GA (March 29, 2020) – An afternoon collision on Saturday resulted in extensive delays. At around 1 p.m., on March 28, authorities were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Interstate 85.
Reports from authorities indicate that a major motor vehicle accident occurred along the northbound side of the interstate just before Highway 129. The incident resulted in extensive delays due to lane restrictions caused by blocking.
Emergency crews secured the area and provided aid and transportation to those injured in the collision.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
