Macon, GA (March 28, 2020) – Bibb County deputies responded to the scene of a tractor-trailer crash on Hartley Bridge Road in Macon around 3 p.m. yesterday, March 27.
Police claim that a tractor-trailer was hauling a piece of equipment and headed onto I-75 from Hartley Bridge when the driver struck the bridge with his equipment.
There was a passenger vehicle behind the truck that was struck by debris from the bridge. The driver of that vehicle was identified as a 55-year-old woman. She was taken to Coliseum Hospital and has been listed in stable condition.
The driver of the truck was identified as a 54-year-old man who was not injured and was issued a citation.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
