Newnan, GA (March 30, 2020) – Around 9 a.m. this morning, police responded to the scene of a car accident that took place on a major highway in Newnan.
Police confirmed that the accident occurred when two or more vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of I-85 near the area of McCollum-Sharpsburg Road in Newnan.
The vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident and paramedics were seen assisting those with injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
One lane of traffic was blocked, leading to severe delays throughout the area.
No further details have been released but the investigation is ongoing.
