Ringgold, GA (March 2, 2020) – Yesterday, March 1, a serious pedestrian accident led to injuries in an officer in Ringgold following a police chase.
Police confirmed that a Ringgold Police officer was struck by a vehicle following a high-speed chase on the Larry McDonald Memorial Highway. Police did not say what prompted the chase initially.
It is believed that the other driver stayed at the scene and received charges. Meanwhile, paramedics were present at the scene and were seen assisting the victim with injuries. The extent of the injuries is not yet known.
At this time, police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
