Summerville, GA (March 28, 2020) – Last evening, Summerville Police responded to the scene of a serious hit-and-run accident that took place at an intersection.
According to police, the collision occurred when a vehicle struck a black pickup truck at the intersection of Commerce Street and Farrar Drive.
Police confirmed that the driver who struck the truck fled the scene and did not stop. The pickup truck immediately rolled over in the intersection due to the force of the accident.
There were injured victims inside the truck who received treatment. It is not known if they were taken to the hospital.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
