Adairsville, GA – Malfunctioned Tire Causes Fatal Accident I-75

Adairsville, GA (July 10, 2019) – The victim of a fatal car wreck that occurred on Monday, July 8, has now been identified by Georgia State Patrol. Neville O. Forsythe, 64, of Chattanooga, tragically died in a crash on Interstate 75 that also resulted in one injured.

According to authorities, Forsythe was the front seat passenger in a Ford Explorer that was traveling north along I-75, a little south of the Georgia 140 exit. The left rear tire of the vehicle was reported to have malfunctioned, subsequently causing the driver to lose control and veer across the right lane before overturning.

Police stated that the Explorer flipped several times and that Forsythe was ejected from the vehicle during the incident. The vehicle came to a stop on its roof and emergency responders were summoned to the scene. Forsythe was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene while the driver, who has only been identified as a female, was airlifted to a hospital. The injured drivers’ condition is considered non-life threatening and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Our warmest thoughts and prayers are extended to the loved ones of Neville O. Forsythe. We also wish to offer our sympathies to the injured driver as we hope for her full recovery.
