Buford, GA – Car Accident into Restaurant on South Lee Street

Buford, GA (July 11, 2019) – A car accident took place on Wednesday afternoon, July 10, that led to injuries at Rico’s World Kitchen on South Lee Street. Police confirmed that the accident, which happened at 4:00 p.m., took place when a vehicle slammed into the restaurant.

Police confirmed that there was damage to the restaurant but that it was not structural and could be fixed.

Gwinnett Police spoke with the female driver, who claimed that she had been attempting to park but instead accidentally hit the accelerator. This caused the vehicle to slam into the door in the front of the building.

One person inside received minor injuries but is expected to recover.

At this time, police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
