Griffin, GA – 8-Year-Old Boy Injured in Bicycle Accident on Baptist Camp Road

Griffin, GA (July 19, 2019) – At 3:30 p.m. along Baptist Camp Road, police claim that an 8-year-old boy was injured in a bicycle accident and rushed to a local hospital.

The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene of the accident to find that the boy had been riding his bike along the roadway when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle. Police are not sure if the car stopped at the scene of the accident and have not yet confirmed this.

Police have not confirmed the condition of the boy but they said that the boy might have suffered from a leg fracture among other serious injuries.

The road was immediately closed for quite some time. Photographs at the scene of the accident showed a white mangled bicycle on the roadway.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
