Macon, GA (July 18, 2019) – Police with Bibb County were called to the scene of an ATV chase that took place involving multiple people on ATVs and a crash.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. when deputies were trying to attempt a traffic stop on three ATVs that were headed down Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. Deputies lost sight of them for some time and then caught up to them further down the road.
One driver of an ATV did not notice the red light and crashed into a Toyota Corolla. The party was thrown from their ATV and attempted to run away.
Deputies made an arrest and one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
