Marietta, GA (July 11, 2019) – Police claim that a grandfather of four was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Smyrna Powder Springs Road in Marietta.
The accident took place last Tuesday night in Cobb County, according to authorities. At the time, a 58-year-old was walking home from work when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle that traveled on the side of the road.
The driver of the vehicle got out and fled the scene immediately following the crash. Police say that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time.
