Bainbridge, GA (July 11, 2019) – On Tuesday night, July 9, police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident that led to a fatality at a local Bainbridge intersection.
The accident, according to Decatur County deputies, took place when a 57-year-old woman was driving her 2005 Acura at the intersection of John Sam Road and Highway 84 when she ran into a semi-truck.
The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. The driver died at the scene of the accident. She also had a passenger in her vehicle who was taken to the Dothan Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Various emergency responders helped at the scene of the serious accident. At this time, the investigation into the accident continues.
