Flowery Branch, GA (July 11, 2019) – On Tuesday, a truck accident involving a logging truck and an SUV took place on GA-365 in Flowery Branch and led to injuries.
According to authorities, the accident took place around 10:20 a.m. around the area of the Habersham/Hall County line. Photographs taken from the accident scene showed logs rammed into the windshield of a Honda SUV. The front passenger seat was badly damaged but the accident missed the driver’s seat.
A 27-year-old woman was driving the SUV and a 35-year-old man was driving the logging truck. The truck driver had completed a left-hand turn when the SUV rear-ended him. The log truck continued onward, not realizing what happened, and carried the SUV with it until the driver noticed that he was involved in an accident.
The woman walked away from the accident with only minor injuries. She was walking around when an ambulance arrived and took her to the hospital.
No charges were filed and an investigation into the accident continues.
