Menlo, GA – Teen Airlifted After Car Accident on Gordon Road Involving Mower

Menlo, GA (July 18, 2019) – On Thursday, police responded to the scene of a car accident involving a teenager on a lawnmower leading to serious injuries on Gordon Road, Menlo.

The accident took place around 10:50 a.m. when a 17-year-old teenager was traveling eastbound on the lawn mower. At the same time, a 53-year-old in a Honda was traveling northbound on GA-157. The teenager did not yield at the intersection and pulled out directly in front of the Honda.

The Honda ran into the front right side of the mower and pushed it approximately 25 feet before coming to a complete stop.

The teen had serious injuries and was immediately airlifted by medical helicopter to Erlanger Medical Center.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
