Gainesville, GA (July 18, 2019) – Hall County Police responded to the scene of a truck accident that took place on GA-369 and led to injuries in two different people.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the driver of the involved tractor-trailer had been traveling westbound on GA-369 on July 15 when it suddenly struck a vehicle with five passengers headed in the opposite direction.
The driver was identified as a 25-year-old man who had been stopped in traffic and decided to cross into another lane, not realizing that he was head-on with other vehicles.
A Honda driven by a 22-year-old woman headed straight toward the truck and was not able to stop in time. The driver was seriously injured and so was one of her passengers, who was partially ejected from the vehicle due to the force of the vehicle.
The driver of the truck was cited for failing to maintain their lane.
The roadway was closed down for approximately 2 hours after the accident. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
