Reynolds, GA (July 5, 2019) – Police responded to the second fatal train crash that took place in the past two days. One person was killed and a child was injured in the accident at Crest Hill Street.
Reynolds Police responded to the scene of the crash around 4:30 p.m. where they discovered that a man was killed when a train hit his vehicle as he was crossing the tracks. Police claim that this is an area where many people attempt to ride over the tracks when they are not supposed to and many citations are issued.
The impact was so forceful that the car was pushed about a half mile by the train. The driver passed away, but he has not yet been identified. There was also an 11-year-old child in the vehicle who was taken to the Navicent Health Medical Center. Unfortunately, his condition is not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked for some time and the investigation into the accident continues.
