Reynolds, GA (July 6, 2019) – On Thursday, one person was killed and an 11-year-old was treated for injuries in a fatal train accident that took place in Reynolds.
A local coroner identified the deceased party as a 61-year-old man. His vehicle was struck when he was on the tracks at Crest Hill Street. His vehicle was pushed approximately one mile back to Zack Posey Road.
Police claim that the driver was heading home when he crossed the railroad tracks with his grandson. Police do not think that the man noticed the train.
The 11-year-old victim was taken to Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon for treatment for injuries.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
