Rockdale County, GA (July 4, 2019) On the 4th of July, a vehicle crash involving a fire truck took place at the intersection of State Route 138 and Miller Bottom Road. A Walton County fire truck was traveling south on Miller Bottom Road when it approached the intersection and collided with a gray Ford F-250 traveling east. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn on the road.
When emergency crews arrived to help, they found three people injured as a result of the crash. Two passengers in the pickup truck were rushed to a nearby hospital in Atlanta for treatment.
The police are currently investigating the crash, but reports revealed that the firetruck ran a red light and “failed to use proper due regard.”
