Sandy Springs, GA (July 17, 2019) – On Wednesday morning around 5 a.m. in Sandy Springs, a DUI bicycle accident took place and took one life on Roswell Road.
The 29-year-old bicyclist was killed as he rode his bike to work near the area of the area Starbucks. The driver of the vehicle that struck him, identified as a 34-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and DUI.
Police learned that the woman who struck the bicyclist was charged with DUI once in the past, as well as reckless driving in 2018. Her last case is still pending.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
