Savannah, GA (July 9, 2019) – On Monday night, July 8, police investigated the scene of a pedestrian accident involving a vehicle that took place on I-516 in Savannah.
According to police, a man from Pennsylvania was walking in the left southbound lane of the highway around 11 p.m. Police are not sure why he was located exactly in this spot.
The pedestrian was suddenly and forcefully struck by a Honda Accord driven by a 36-year-old woman.
The pedestrian received serious injuries and was instantly transported to the Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
At this time, police continue their investigation into the accident.
