Savannah, GA (July 13, 2019) – On Thursday morning, July 11, police investigated the scene of a scooter accident involving a vehicle on Washington Avenue.
According to Savannah Police, the accident took place when a 21-year-old woman was traveling east on Washington in a Honda Accord at the same time that a 70-year-old male was stopped on his scooter.
The driver attempted to cross at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Reynolds Street in front of the woman in her vehicle. The two collided.
Police confirmed that the scooter driver was taken to the Memorial Medical Center with a variety of serious injuries.
The crash continues to be investigated at this time.
