Warner Robins, GA – Police in Houston County reported that a 7-year-old child has died following a pedestrian crash that took place on Highway 247 in Warner Robins.
According to authorities, the 7-year-old female child, who has been identified as an autistic child, was struck by a vehicle on Highway 247 on Saturday. Officials were unsure of the child’s condition on the day that the accident happened but have since confirmed that she passed away.
Family members have said that the child was visiting relatives when she got out of the house and was struck by a vehicle on the highway.
The roadway in that area was closed down on Saturday night after the accident. The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
