Acworth, GA (March 26, 2020) – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of a pedestrian accident in Acworth this morning around 5:30 a.m.
Though few details are known regarding the accident, it is believed that it occurred when a pedestrian and a vehicle collided at the intersection of GA-92 and Wade Green Road.
The pedestrian was allegedly the only party injured in the accident, though the extent of their injuries are not yet known. It is believed that they were hospitalized due to these injuries.
All lanes except for a left lane were open to traffic following the collision, which led to extensive delays in the area.
No further details have been provided at this time.
