Atlanta, GA (March 18, 2020) – Around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, Atlanta Police responded to the scene of a car accident on I-285 in the westbound lanes.
According to police, the collision took place on the highway in the area of I-85 when numerous parties collided with one another. The accident involved at least two vehicles and a silver sedan was photographed badly damaged in the area. There was also a box truck involved in the accident.
At least two fire trucks and an EMS vehicle responded to the scene. Injuries were reported but the extent of the injuries are not known at this time.
A right lane of traffic was open for some time but all other lanes were closed.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation.
