Brooklet, GA – Fatal Collision at Brooklet-Denmark Rd Intersection

Brooklet, GA (March 11, 2020) – On Friday night around 8:30 p.m., a fatal collision took the life of a victim at a Brooklet intersection.

Police arrived at the scene of the accident late at night at the intersection of Brooklet-Denmark Road and Georgia 67. There, they found that two vehicles collided with one another.

The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that the collision took place when a 2008 Jeep Wrangler was being driven by a 19-year-old woman from South Carolina. She failed to yield at the intersection and struck a 2004 Ford pickup truck.

The Jeep ran into the right side of the vehicle, which injured the passenger. The passenger, who was on a dance competition show, was taken to a Statesboro medical center where he tragically passed away due to his injuries.

Both of the drivers are okay following the collision.

At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
