Buford, GA – Fatal Truck Accident on GA-365 Involving Passenger Vehicle

Buford, GA (March 18, 2020) – This morning, a man from Gainesville was killed in a fatal truck accident on GA-65 that involved a passenger vehicle.

Police responded to the northbound lanes of the highway around the area of Buford Drive around 7:30 a.m. this morning. There, they discovered that two vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision, one of which was a truck.

Police confirmed that the driver of the Kia Sportage vehicle was identified as a 45-year-old man. Police are not sure of the circumstances that caused them to collide with one another.

The victim, the driver of the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The accident was so severe that it closed down northbound lanes of traffic until 9 a.m. Police continue their investigation into the collision.
