Atlanta, GA (March 18, 2020) – Around 9 p.m. tonight, Clayton County officials responded to a multi-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of I-75.
The accident occurred close to the Jonesboro Road area and involved two or more vehicles. The front-end of a dark-colored SUV was completely smashed inward but police did not comment on the circumstances leading up to the crash.
Numerous police officials and fire crews were active at the scene, as well as an EMS vehicle. It is believed that they assisted in extricating one or more victims out of the SUV. Injuries were reported but, at this time, the extent of the injuries are not yet known.
There were extensive delays in the area for some time.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
