Marietta, GA (March 18, 2020) – A Georgia man is now facing charges following a hit-and-run accident with violence that took place in an unspecified area of Marietta.
Police confirmed that a Cobb County man, identified as a 59-year-old, struck a vehicle being driven by a woman who also had a female passenger in her vehicle. The man allegedly pulled a gun on the two women and refused to exchange information with them, then yelling racist slurs at them.
The woman driving the vehicle suffered from a leg injury in the accident and did her best to attempt to de-escalate the situation, but the man fled the scene.
Responding officers arrived at the scene and were able to locate the man who caused the accident nine miles from the crash. He was charged with hit-and-run and pointing a gun.
Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
