Canton, GA (March 14, 2020) – Around 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, March 13, one person was killed in a fatal crash on the Phillip Landrum Memorial Highway in Canton.
Police confirmed that an SUV had allegedly left the roadway and rolled several times where it then struck a tree. The driver was identified as a female who suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to North Fulton Hospital.
There was also a child in the vehicle who was transported to the Children’s Hospital Scottish Rite with injuries.
Last evening, police confirmed that the woman passed away from her injuries.
Police soon determined that a dark passenger vehicle played a role in the accident and might have caused the accident. It fled the scene.
The investigation into the accident continues.
