Columbus, GA – Man Treated for Burn After Apartment Fire

Columbus, GA (March 10, 2020) – Around 8:36 p.m. on the night of March 8, a man was burned after an apartment fire that started in an unidentified area in Columbus.

The Columbus Fire Department, EMS crews, and police responded to the scene of the incident where they found that a stove was left on after somebody fell asleep.

A man inside the apartment was treated for a burn. The fire was contained within 15 minutes. There was smoke damage in a variety of other apartments as well.

The investigation into the fire continues at this time.
