Decatur, GA – Car Accident on East Expy Near Wesley Chapel Rd

Decatur, GA (March 28, 2020) – Around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, a two-vehicle car accident took place in the eastbound lanes of the East Expressway.

According to Decatur authorities, the collision occurred when one vehicle allegedly rear-ended another near the area of Wesley Chapel Road, according to photographs taken at the scene.

Though all parties were able to get out of their vehicles on their own, paramedics were present at the scene assisting those with injuries. Unfortunately, the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Two left lanes of traffic were blocked, causing immense delays for those in the area. Traffic was blocked for a period of time into the evening.

Police continue to investigate the collision at this time.
