Ellenwood, GA (March 19, 2020) – Around 7:18 p.m. this evening, Clayton County authorities responded to the scene of a collision on a major highway in Ellenwood.
According to police, the collision took place when two or more vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the highway around the Ellenwood Road exit.
Two or more EMS vehicles responded to the scene of the collision and were seen assisting those with injuries. It appeared that several victims were receiving assistance.
Only one right lane of traffic was open for a period of time, leading to extensive delays.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
