Gainesville, GA (March 20, 2020) – On Tuesday evening, a fatal accident involving two vehicles took place at the intersection of GA-365 and White Sulphur Road.
Habersham County deputies responded to the scene of the collision where they found that two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of traffic in Gainesville.
Police confirmed that a GMC Sierra rammed the back of a Palmer Trucking dump truck that stopped at the red light and was making a turn onto the highway.
A 63-year-old man was immediately rushed to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he tragically passed away.
Northbound lanes of the roadway were blocked for a period of time.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
