Gainesville, GA (March 20, 2020) – Around 8 p.m. on the night of March 11, a fatal motorcycle accident happened at the intersection of GA-60 and Candler Road in Gainesville.
Police confirmed that a 66-year-old woman was in the left turning lane and failed to yield while she was turning, putting her directly into the path of the motorcyclist.
The 57-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after the collision but he was tragically pronounced deceased.
The 66-year-old driver was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide due to the collision.
The investigation into the collision is currently ongoing.
