Gore, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on John Jones Rd

Gore, GA (March 3, 2020) – The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident on John Jones Road in Gore.

At the time, the male pedestrian was walking to work around the time of daylight when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Police confirmed that he died at the scene.

Georgia State Patrol in Rome arrived at the scene where they found that the pedestrian was alongside the road. He was on the side of the road when the vehicle struck him but it was raining hard at the time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
