Griffin, GA (March 23, 2020) – Early this morning, various departments arrived at the scene of a house fire that took place at 118 Blanton Avenue in Griffin.
Police confirmed that a male living in the house at the time of the fire and that he received third-degree burns to his face and arm.
The man was immediately taken to Spalding Regional for treatment. Due to the severity, he might be transferred to an Atlanta burn unit.
Various responders were called to the scene including the Griffin Fire Department, Griffin Police Department, and Spalding Regional EMS.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
