Columbus, GA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in NB Lanes of I-185

Columbus, GA (March 23, 2020) – Late last night, a fatal pedestrian accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-185 in Columbus.

Police confirmed that a pedestrian was struck on the highway around the area of the Manchester Expressway. The pedestrian was allegedly alone and was the only person struck.

Police have since said that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Due to the severity of the collision, all northbound lanes of the highway were blocked for several hours.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
