Lithia Springs, GA (March 12, 2020) – Around 6 a.m. at the time of rush hour this morning, a serious car crash took place at a Lithia Springs intersection.
The accident took place in the southbound lanes of Thornton Road at the intersection of Bankhead Highway in Lithia Springs.
Police did not comment on the exact circumstances of the collision but it is believed that two or more vehicles collided with one another upon entering the intersection.
Paramedics and various other responders were at the scene, blocking multiple lanes of traffic. They assisted those with injuries.
There were slight delays in the early morning hours but police quickly cleared the scene.
At this time, the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
