Marietta, GA (March 9, 2020) – Cobb County police confirmed that a fatal motorcycle accident took place around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in Marietta.
According to authorities, the collision took place near the intersection of the Barrett Parkway and Rocky Ridge Road in Marietta.
A BMW motorcycle was allegedly headed north on the Parkway when a Toyota Avalon headed south started to make a turn onto Rocky Ridge. The two collided with one another.
The motorcyclist, who was identified as a 43-year-old man from Marietta, was immediately hospitalized at the Kennestone Hospital but he tragically passed away from his injuries.
The driver of the Avalon was identified as a 57-year-old woman who was not injured in the crash.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
