Rome, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on Shorter Ave

Rome, GA (March 7, 2020) – Around 6 p.m. this evening, Floyd County authorities responded to the scene of a car accident on Shorter Avenue.

According to police, the collision occurred on Shorter Avenue between the areas of Burnett Ferry Road and North Elm Street in Rome.

Paramedics and various other responders were called to the scene of the collision to help those with injuries. Unfortunately, the extent of those injuries is not yet known.

The roadway was closed down until 7:45 p.m. this evening. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
