Savannah, GA (March 27, 2020) – Last night around 10 p.m., a boat accident led to injuries and caused a missing person’s report on the Ogeechee River.
The incident took place near a boat landing close to Highway 56 in Burke County. Two people were on the boat when the incident took place. One person was able to exit the water and received help from emergency personnel for their injuries.
The other victim, however, has not yet been found. A search is ongoing at this time.
Numerous responders were present at the scene assisting those in need including the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Burke County EMS, Emanuel County EMS, and more.
The investigation into the accident continues.
