Savannah, GA (March 17, 2020) – Savannah Police confirmed that one person was killed in a fatal bicycle accident on Largo Drive around 11:30 p.m.
A 59-year-old man was on his bicycle traveling east on Large Drive at the same time as a 69-year-old man in a Toyota Corolla. The Toyota entered the intersection and did not notice the bicyclist, causing the two to collide.
The bicyclist was immediately rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but tragically passed away on Sunday, March 15.
At this time, the Savannah Police Traffic Investigation Unit continues its investigation into the collision. No charges have yet been filed.
