Villa Rica, GA (March 27, 2020) – This morning around 5:30 a.m., a fatal pedestrian crash took the life of one victim on a highway in Villa Rica.
Police confirmed that the collision took place on Tom Murphy Freeway in the area of Liberty Road when a Douglas County pedestrian was struck and killed.
A pedestrian was in the left lane of traffic at the time when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle and tragically passed away at the scene.
The accident blocked several lanes of traffic until approximately 7:30 a.m. this morning.
Numerous emergency responders were present at the scene of the accident. Police investigations continue at this time.
