Watkinsville, GA – Update: 3 Killed in Fatal Plane Crash

Watkinsville, GA (March 7, 2020) – Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a single-engine fatal plane crash took place in an unidentified area of Watkinsville.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the collision, where they found that the Piper PA-46 crashed in a wooded area.

The men involved in the plane crash have since been identified. Police claim that they are a 63-year-old man from Martindale, Texas, a 67-year-old man from Houston, and a 65-year-old man from Missouri City.

The plane was allegedly traveling from the Columbia Metropolitan Airport and headed toward an airport in Alabama.

Nobody else was involved in the accident. At this time, the investigation continues.
