Winston, GA – Car Accident with Injuries on West Expy

Winston, GA (March 6, 2020) – Around 8 a.m. this morning, a serious car accident with injuries took place in the eastbound lanes of the West Expressway in Winston.

The collision, according to police, was incredibly severe and damaging around the area of Post Road. Only a right lane of traffic was open for a period of time leading to extensive delays in the area.

The accident affected those in the area leaving the Villa Rica area. Multiple emergency responders, including EMS and fire crew vehicles, were present in the area for a period of time.

Paramedics were seen assisting one or more victims with serious injuries. Their conditions are not yet known but one or more victims were boarded into the back of the EMS vehicle.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
